The twins were dropped off at our house by their parents at 9.30am and the parents left for Germany. We had fruits at 10.15, followed by lunch at 12pm. The 3 girls were so anxious to put the table up and we actually did it 1 hour before the rest of the guests arrived. Took a picture of the Fastelavn Boller were baked by the twin's mum. Too bad I didn't take a picture of the cake which the other family brought along. We had 5 girls dressed up as a Minnie Mouse, Rapunzel, Belle, Pippi and Cinderella. DH was dressed up as a pirate+jester. 'Nice' combination.
See all the tapes around the barrel? The men had to tape the barrel as it broke from the rope which was hanging onto onto it. Pippi was the best this year. We were really surprised to see how strong she was last Saturday. She wasn't really that strong last year. She was 5 years old then. Last year, the barrel won't be broken without the strength of the twins and this year, it was Pippi who hit the hardest all the time. We suspect that the parents had been training her just for this occasion. We have to start training our DD soon.
Our initial plan was to have French hotdogs for dinner but changed to hotdogs instead. Chiloe from France said she had never heard of French hotdogs before. So, this is the Fransk Hotdog in Denmark.
