Drage Feuer Stitch

I think I took at least 40 pictures to avoid seeing the pinks on her cheek. I must keep on telling myself not to be too impatient. I often try to go by my 10x10 block rule but I was so anxious to get the neckline of her dress done that I went out of my 10x10 rule. So, it took me quite some time to get that area (jawline and the neckline of her dress) finished.

I know there is an issue on the HAED forum regarding this DMC 452. The old DMC 452 is more like gray but the new one is like pink. Since I am using HDF silk, so after converting DMC 452 to 5103, it is still pink. Actually, she looks really lovely as long as I stand more than 5 meters away from her. I deserve a treat and I've planned to do some shopping with my good friend tomorrow in Germany. Will go to the bookshops there to see whether I can find some special magazines. I am so much into cross stitching magazines these days that I am ordering them from anywhere and everywhere, even the French cross stitch magazines. I only have 2 UK Cross Stitcher and would like to take a look at other magazines before deciding which one to subscribe. Pray for my safety tomorrow as this good friend of mine is a horrible driver! She is always asking me like every 1 min 'WHERE ARE WE NOW? WHICH WAY TO GO? ARE YOU SURE!! I better bring my navigator along for her. I am seriously thinking of taking the bus from the Danish border into the city in Germany just for my own safety.

I've been waiting for this day for the past 1 week. In a few hours time, I will know the results. My hands are cold, trembling and sweaty. Be it positive or negative, I will accept my fate.

As I mentioned in one of my posts that I am meeting up with Tove whom I know through 123stitch forum. She came with her parents and her kids on Monday. All of them are the sweetest people I've ever known. Very humble and friendly. Her 2 kids are really well behaved, especially her daugher whom I just want to hug all the time. It took DD a while to warm up to the 2 friends she just met. I wish she had taken a longer to warm up as she made them formed band and started to play music. It was ear-deafening but we were all laughing and enjoying the 3 kids' performance. I am looking forward to see them again but I have no idea when they will be back from Japan for holidays. Have a nice trip back to Japan.

A friend of mine had been calling me non stop and I really hate to take her calls as she never filter her words when she is talking. She just go blah blah blah and jadda jadda. It goes on my nerves when people talk senseless things. Even though DD is a half Chinese and half European, that doesn't give her the right to tease my daughter and calling her Jackie Chan's daughter. Even her son is calling her that. These are the people whom I don't even want to have a thing to do with.

Took this picture this morning. It is not one of the best views I've seen from our balcony but what I like is the clouds on the uppertop. Click onto the picture you will know what I mean. If you don't, too bad as I just can't explain.

I received a missed call on my mobile today. It was from Tove whom I know on the 123stitch MB. She did write to me last week and asked whether we can meet up. I had been so excited since then. It was awkward to speak to her at first. I guess I just feel weird speaking English to a Dane. We ended up speaking in English in the end. Tove had stayed in USA for years and moved to Japan. She is back in Denmark for the festive season and we arranged to meet on Monday. Best day for me as my fridge is always stored up with lots of food from Friday onwards. I will put DD at home on Monday as Tove will bring her 2 kids along and they can play together. I am really looking forward to see her next Monday. Hope she can find her way to our house. If she can't, then I will put DH on the phone and let him explain. I am so bad at giving directions!! Did that few times when my friends called for directions to our house and I misdirected them. Not very nice language they use when they finally reach our house after DH gave them better and specific directions to our house.

Actually I don't think I am bad at giving directions. The thing is that there are only farms, trees, highways, roads, plants here. Where I came from, we give directions by telling people 'when you turn right, you can see a Mcdonalds or a hotel or this shopping mall, etc' If I have to give directions to the people here, it might go like 'turn right and you will see these black and white cows or pigs or a tree which is like 2m 34.5cm tall.'

Took this lovely scene this morning. Actually after moving here for a year, we still don't have any idea whether that part is Germany or still Denmark. However, if you look further up, the high mountains, that area is definitely Germany. I just love this view this morning as it looks like a water fountain but it is actually fog.

This photo was taken at sunset today. It was my mother in law who told me to look at the beautiful sunset. I am not sure what colours you can see on your screen but in real life, it was RED and orange. It was really beautiful. Mother in law loves our house as we can see sunrise from our balcony and sunset at our terrace. The sunrise is as equally lovely as the sunset too. So often, when I see the lovely sunrise during the wee hours in the morning, I always think 'how nice would it be if someone can dye such colours onto a fabric'

Just received this from my in-laws when they came over for coffee today. I won this used chart on ebay.de just before New Year. Still deciding whether to stitch this on Silkweaver Days Gone By or Silkweaver Summer Sunset. I've stitched something on Days Gone By before and also have another piece of this fabric (non opal) in my stash. So, I thought it might be a bit boring to stitch on the same hand dyed fabric which I've worked on before. My choice is only Summer Sunset now unless I find a solo which fits to this chart.
