I've been stitching on her for the past 1 week. Thought I could finish her up by end of this month but that is a wishful thinking! Give me another 2 to 3 weeks more and she might be done.

DD had an accident yesterday. She was picking something up under the window stil in our room yesterday evening and almost knocked herself out. Look at these 2 marble planks we have. We wanted to change them when we first moved in but they are too heavy to be moved, so we just leave it as it is. See how the other plank popped up? It used to be straight and even until she knocked her head beneath it. Of course she cried a lot. We didn't bring her to the doctor as she was crying and still able to walk straight. We put crushed ice on the back of her head and put her to sleep. We checked her every now and then. DH woked her up at about 12am and asked her whether she had any pain and she said no. I suspect her head is made of steel sometimes.

For the past 2 weeks, I just got the urge to shop on Ebays. I won quite a lot of items at really great prices.
Vervaco FlowerTerrace
Lanarte Hydrangea & Butterflies

Lanarte Birdbath. I won her Lanarte Village Pump too to go with this. Still waiting for it to arrive. The seller is an extremely nice lady. She is selling all her stitching stash as she can no longer continue stitching.

New Stitches 157. I ordered it from Stitchdirect. It took me a while to hunt it down. A stitcher showed her finished Map of Europe 2006 and she can't remember it was from which magazine. Someone said I can buy the whole kit from Stitchdirect and it cost more than £50! I wrote to them and they told me the giant chart can be found in Issue 157 and I purchased this issue. I am so happy as I am only after that Europe Map chart.

Yesterday I placed an order of 5 French magazines from www.kreative-buecher.de in Germany. I found out that they have Half Price Postage Fee and Free Shipping Day yesterday. I got them sent to my in-laws as it is free shipping within Germany. The owner Martina is an extremely lovely and helpful lady. She is really good at guiding me through the ordering when I sent her a mail. She is also very humble and apologised for her bad English. I think her English is close to perfect, else I won't be able to follow her instructions at all. Got a notice few hours later that the package had been despatched to my in-laws. I could had got her to send them to me in Denmark but after half price postage fee + taxes, it is still more than €5. So, I used the money to buy an extra magazine :0))

Completed her yesterday evening! She took me nearly a month, I think. I am really happy with the way she turned out, though stitching all those blacks was really boring. What will my next project be? I thought of Lanarte Ballerina but that one can wait. I will go back to my Sleeping Beauty and hope to complete her by end of this month.
Today is my mother-in-law's birthday, DD And I are going to take the bus to Germany, do some shopping and then the train to my in-laws' house. Mil will pick us up from the train station. DH is so worried that we will lost our way to the train station and insisted that I bring his navigator along. His navigator will probably point us to walk along the main road instead of going by short cuts. I can always ask people for the directions if we really get lost. Hope we don't spend too much time shopping and forgot to go to the train station!

I think she can be completed within the next 14 days (I hope!). I am extremely happy with the progress of this one and is thinking of stitching her again on another solo (I hardly never stitch the same pattern more than once!). This Spanish Dancer will look nice on so many hand dyed fabrics. Labels: Lanarte Spanish Dancer

I haven't been stitching her for nearly 2 weeks now. I started on her again early this morning and I could feel that my motivation is up again :0)) I guess that is also because I am recovering from a bad flu + an ear infection.

We had great weather last week. The temperature was up to 25 degree. We had this swimming pool last summer but it was at the back garden. DH thought it will be fun if she can slide into the water. He dragged the pool to her small playground. DD is so crazy about it and for days, she stayed in the garden for 4 to 5 hours. We realised that there could be a punctured hole in the swimming pool. We found another pool and this time with a filter in a shop as DH doesn't want to be the Poolboy scooping all the grasses ;0) They were all sold out when we drove there yesterday and were told to call today at 2pm asking whether the stocks are in again. I am crossing my fingers that we can get the pool later today.
