I was rushing through this since yesterday as I don't want to bring it over to 2012.

I have no idea what I should stitch for next year.  I am thinking of continuing this HAED project until I finished Christmas Spirit..... OR

start on this new kit.

Since it is New Year's eve tomorrow, we are throwing a party, inviting some family members and friends over.  I hope I can last through the night as my bedtime is usually at 9.30pm.

I wish everyone a Happy New Year!

It had been a while since I updated my blog after my last finish.  Here is the progress of my Angels of Katerinaart.  I am onto Christmas Spirit .  Stitching on this angel really slowly.  Now comes the biggest challenge as I am changing the shade of her face to another DMC number. I just find the original is making her face cheeks' area too dark.  So, I am using a lighter shade to replace with the original.  I hope it will turn out well.

Our summer started off well - at least well as we had a few days of warm weather at the beginning of June.  So, we took things really easy by relaxing in the garden . After that, we had nothing  but constant rain and strong wind.  We managed to find a day without rain and went to Legoland with our friends.   A very fun and lovely place but not a place where I would buy a season card for.  We have to queue for every single game and ride from average of 20 mins to 45 mins.

Since we had so much of rain, we planned a 'summer party' and invited our friends and their children over. to our house for some fun.   It was really fun despite the strong wind and heavy rain.

Weather will be great again, according to the weather.  So, we finished up a lot of stuff in the garden.  To reward ourselves, we are planning a trip to another funpark.

My first finish for 2011!! It could had been completed 2 days ago but I ran out of 1 colour.  It is not Acufactum's fault that I didn't had enough of that colour in the kit.  I frogged a lot of that colour when I first started on this kit due to some mistakes.

My next project will be my Angels of Katerinaart.  I am on Christmas Spirit curently and hope to complete her soon before I take a break and start on a non-HAED.

My Frühjahrsquadrate kit arrived  this morning.  This is my first Acufactum kit and I am pretty amazed  at how soft the linen is and the sheen on the V&H floss.   I have to put my HAED project away to start on this as I want it to be done at least during Spring.

It took me a couple of years to find out the artist of this great artwork (thank you so much to the members of Golden Kite).  It got charted by Golden Kite 2 weeks ago and I bought it.  The one I bought is in solid colours.   When will I start on this? As soon as my HAED project is finished which will probably take me about at least 6 months.

Part 2 of Angels of Katerinaart.  Progess as of 15 March 2011.  This angel is called Christmas Spirit

We held a Fastelavn Party on the 5th March inviting our friends and their girls.   We had a Queen of the Cats who is one of the 7 years old girls, she sure took the bottom of the barrel off.   It took them a long time to crack this barrel and all the parents were freezing outside since this was done in the garden and it was so windy that day.

When we started throwing this Fastelavn Party 4 years ago, it become a tradition for us and these 2 families .  After the first year seeing me standing in the kitchen for so long, our friends suggested that they will each bake something to bring along.

I baked these muffins and for the first time I succeeded making frosting!

She is completed as of 3 March 2011.  I really enjoyed working on her and there'd been times whereby I was thinking whether I should stitch  the full pattern as I really love the original but it is too late now.

I will probably start on this one while preparing the next angel. I am just too lazy to look through all my Blomstergarn for this pattern.

Or maybe this Spring kit. I am still thinking whether I should buy the kit. I don't fall in love easily with any charts or kits but I had been looking at this for almost a year now and still loving it.

Time of the year again for our Fastelavn party. This is what I get when I put my daughter and husband to do any decorations. It will be smashed anyway and this year, we are not making it easy for the girls. The 5 girls are getting stronger each year. We used to have a cardboard barrel until last year. It took only 1 hit from each girl and the candies fell off. This year, we are taking a wood barrel instead.

Here is how she looks like 2 days ago.  I've haven't had much  time stitching on her for the last 2 weeks.  She is close to completion - hopefully within 2 weeks if I don't get distracted by other stuff.

It has been a couple of busy weeks - doing up my husband's accounts to submit to the tax office, having friends over, going out with friends and me going out for shopping during this Winter Sales in Germany.  Our daughter has a friend who is coming over frequently to play and staying over for dinner.  It is really nice that she has someone to play with.  Her friend's parents bought a house (just 2 houses away from us) last year and they moved in beginning of this year.

Here is where I've completed since 29 Jan 2011.  Not much left and I am looking so much forward to starting on a new angel after her.

I've never thought I will be so much into Nintendo games until I bought Cooking Mama 2 for my daughter.   I've been so much on the game every evening.  My daughter is not really into this game, though she helps out from time to time.   She is just scared to see Mama's flaming eyes if the cooking goes wrong.

She is halfway done.  I need a short break once she is finished as one of my fingers had been pierced badly by the needle while stitching her.   Need to give that finger a rest.

It is going faster than I expected.  I really love how she is turning out.  Another 15000 stitches and she is done.

I finally got my dream project started.  I've combined 4 artworks of Katerina Koukiotis charted by HAED.  It wasn't easy choosing just 4 as I love most of Koukiotis's works.  I had so many thoughts while planning this project and the main one was :  Should I stitch a small part of each of these 4 designs and hold a contest - Name The Chart Contest.  My main problem is that, that means I have more than '1 wip' going on and that is just not me who prefer to complete 1 and start on a new one.  We will see.

I am not so good with names and not creative enough.  I really need some help here.  What should I name my WIP?  I've thought of Faces of Katerina Koukiotis's, Angels of Katerina Koukiotis's, etc.   but I am just not so comfortable with what I've came out with.   Any better names to name my WIP?

I hope everyone had a great and safe New Year.  As usual every year, we will watch the fireworks from our house.  Both my husband and our daughter had a great time playing with some fireworks that the whole front yard is still in a mess with the leftovers.
