I've lost my urge to stitch on my HAED for a while but would really love to stitch something. So I started this kit Santa At The Door by Eva Rosenstand. I am stitching for the sake of stitching as Iwake up like 4.30 to 5am in the morning. Stitching is the only thing I can pass my time while waiting for the rest to get up.
This is how it will look like when finished.
Today is a big day here in Denmark as it is the Election Day. I can't elect since I am not Dane but a foreigner. I just hope if the new goverment comes in, they will be nicer to the foreigners or immigrants. Nicer doesn't mean that they have to provide for us. After living here for 10 years and working part-time for 9 years, I am still not qualified to be a permanent citizen. Why? They came with this point system recently which I qualified almost all except for having a full time job for 2 years. I simply don't understand - is a part-time job not a job at all? I've been paying taxes like any others who are working.
I am really looking forward to know the results of the election today. If this current government continues having this anti-foreigner Pia K as the puppetmaster, we really have to move out of this beautiful country.

It had been a while since I updated my blog after my last finish. Here is the progress of my Angels of Katerinaart. I am onto Christmas Spirit . Stitching on this angel really slowly. Now comes the biggest challenge as I am changing the shade of her face to another DMC number. I just find the original is making her face cheeks' area too dark. So, I am using a lighter shade to replace with the original. I hope it will turn out well.
Our summer started off well - at least well as we had a few days of warm weather at the beginning of June. So, we took things really easy by relaxing in the garden . After that, we had nothing but constant rain and strong wind. We managed to find a day without rain and went to Legoland with our friends. A very fun and lovely place but not a place where I would buy a season card for. We have to queue for every single game and ride from average of 20 mins to 45 mins.
Since we had so much of rain, we planned a 'summer party' and invited our friends and their children over. to our house for some fun. It was really fun despite the strong wind and heavy rain.
Weather will be great again, according to the weather. So, we finished up a lot of stuff in the garden. To reward ourselves, we are planning a trip to another funpark.

My first finish for 2011!! It could had been completed 2 days ago but I ran out of 1 colour. It is not Acufactum's fault that I didn't had enough of that colour in the kit. I frogged a lot of that colour when I first started on this kit due to some mistakes.
My next project will be my Angels of Katerinaart. I am on Christmas Spirit curently and hope to complete her soon before I take a break and start on a non-HAED.

No. 7 was completed on the 8th May morning. However, my laptop screen had to go blank just when I was trying to update my blog and webshots. My husband managed to get it up, so that he can do a backup for me. In the meantime, I got a new laptop as I am pretty sure this current one will stop working pretty soon.
I've been working on No. 8 and I hope it will be completed by this Friday.

Took me nearly 2 weeks to complete the nest due to the long Easter holidays. Besides that I really didn't had the mood to stitch this boring nest. 3 more squares to go.

Took me a week to complete. I spent more than an hour doing up the french knots. I gave up and found Needlenthread 's video really useful. I finished all the french knots easily within an hour following the instructions. Moving on to Nr. 1 after this.

I think I am moving onto No. 3 instead of No. 4. No. 4 is the nest with boring colours.
Spring is here and we had lovely weather but with strong wind the whole of last week. I got loads of stuff done - washing all the windows, cleaning the car and the house.
