For the past 2 weeks, I just got the urge to shop on Ebays. I won quite a lot of items at really great prices.

Vervaco FlowerTerrace

Lanarte Hydrangea & Butterflies

Lanarte Birdbath. I won her Lanarte Village Pump too to go with this. Still waiting for it to arrive. The seller is an extremely nice lady. She is selling all her stitching stash as she can no longer continue stitching.
Lanarte Mother & Daughter

New Stitches 157. I ordered it from Stitchdirect. It took me a while to hunt it down. A stitcher showed her finished Map of Europe 2006 and she can't remember it was from which magazine. Someone said I can buy the whole kit from Stitchdirect and it cost more than £50! I wrote to them and they told me the giant chart can be found in Issue 157 and I purchased this issue. I am so happy as I am only after that Europe Map chart.

Silkweaver Solo, Starquest and Mountain Rose.
Fabrics from Emma (Hand Dyed Heaven). My good friend Emma started to do her own dyeing sometime back. Emma is really good with dark colours and dyeing light colours make her sweat, lol!! She really did a great job with these 2. I told her I want a 'splatter' in the middle. She did 2, 1 is in light blue and the other in blue/purple. I am stitching something for a friend of mine who prefers light colours fabrics. So, this is a tough choice as I think both fabrics look fabulous!

Yesterday I placed an order of 5 French magazines from www.kreative-buecher.de in Germany. I found out that they have Half Price Postage Fee and Free Shipping Day yesterday. I got them sent to my in-laws as it is free shipping within Germany. The owner Martina is an extremely lovely and helpful lady. She is really good at guiding me through the ordering when I sent her a mail. She is also very humble and apologised for her bad English. I think her English is close to perfect, else I won't be able to follow her instructions at all. Got a notice few hours later that the package had been despatched to my in-laws. I could had got her to send them to me in Denmark but after half price postage fee + taxes, it is still more than €5. So, I used the money to buy an extra magazine :0))
We are having really great weather in Denmark these days - up to 25 degree. DD spent about 1 1/2 hour daily in our new pool after her kindergarten. We got our new family-size pool with a filter. It is much more bigger than the last one we had. What do you think I've been doing? Plucking weeds of course! I hope it won't rain for a week as I need a week or more to get rid of the weeds around the garden. Once it rains, weeds start to grow at the same spot where I've just cleared!
I've been working on my Sleeping Beauty for a week now, taking it slow and steady and I am extremely happy with the progress. I am going to stitch more on her and will post it on ourfriendshaedsal tomorrow.
DD got a birthday invitation from 2 children in her kindergarten to a birthday party next month. I think they are twins as the card indicated the brother and the sister's names. Now, come to the interesting part. They are Germans and we have doubts whether the parents are invited. In Denmark, the parents are always invited as well. However, I think in Germany, usually the invitation is to the child only. The parents will drop the child there and pick them up after the party. To be honest, I prefer the kind of invitation we have in Denmark. Reason : the parents help out to pack up after the party, so that the host doesn't have to clean up a huge pile of plates and toys after that. That is why I am always so relaxed when we have a party at home. Yesterday, DD told me that she wanted to invite a few children to our home. Hmmmm..... I told her if she wants to invite, then we have to invite ALL and not some. I just don't want other children and their parents to feel that they are not well-liked or whatever when they don't get an invitation. Anyway, we invited the whole kindergarten to our house last year, so we will extend the invitation again this year.
